DEAR SAIKORIAN,
We had the pleasure of attending the AGM- 2003 hosted by the Vijayawada Chapter on the 16 th & 17 of August 2003. The AGM was conducted very well and everything was perfectly organized.
Apart from everything else, I was deeply moved at the AGM after I heard our school Principal relate the present plight of our School. Our school, which has grown old (42 years) after being responsible for turning out more than 3500 saikorians, who are in turn playing an important part in the well being of the society on the whole.
At the AGM, our school Principal made a passionate appeal to all of us for help. Apart from what he said we all know of the condition of our Palace, Administrative block, houses, mess, quarters which need urgent repairs. Or else they might even collapse very soon. The mattresses for the boys cannot be repaired any more and are to be replaced. The furniture in our classes and our reading rooms are also to be replaced immediately.
All these and many more are to be tackled immediately.
After all those years at our School, which has given us knowledge, memories, friendships and everything that we are now we owe the school a debt of gratitude. As it is the duty of every child to look after their aged parents, we are supposed to look after our school. Many of us are finally at a position in life that we are able to give something back. If you agree with me, here is your opportunity. Read on.
TOGETHER FOREVER IS OUR MOTTO. But it seems like it is slowly loosing its meaning and no effort is being made to renew the old bondage and the feeling of belonging to one family. You cannot disagree with me that we are all bound by that Saikorian blood infused into us by nothing other than Our School .
What ever are the reasons, it was unfortunate that less than 100 saikorians have turned up for the AGM with only a couple of ladies accompanying them. And we all appreciate the good work being done by all the chapters individually. But in the process, we have neglected our Alma Mater for too long.
Our School has grown old and crying for our attention- immediate attention.
It was decided in the AGM that a committee shall be formed by the President of Vizag Chapter, comprising Saikorians of Vizag chapter, School Principal and representatives of other chapters( if they come forward to help) to take up the job of execution of the two most important issues to be tackled immediately.
1) Creation or inculcation of brotherhood among all saikorians.
2) Reconstruction of our Schools infrastructure and facilities.
On 18 th August 2003, we at Vizag decided to constitute an adhoc team comprising of the following members to get the ball rolling and not to loose any further time. These members shall be responsible to send interact with all saikorians and seek financial help for the reconstruction of our School and formulate the methods and regulations about formation of an official sub committee.
The official sub-committee will in turn be responsible for raising funds for School Reconstruction and look into and suggest methods to improve interaction and brotherhood among us.

I sincerely hope, rather, I am confident that all of us in whom the saikorian blood is flowing will cooperate with the above adhoc committee to achieve its objectives and give ourselves a chance to return our gratitude to our Alma mater, which is really in a very bad state and at the verge of total collapse.
Any suggestions and fresh ideas are most welcome. Please correspond with the above saikorians and feel free to express your ideas regarding any thing related to our Association.
Thankyou and Good Luck.
