Dear Saikorians,

                        This is an announcement from the  'School Reconstruction Committee' (SRC)  that all contributions for Reconstruction fund can now be sent payable to " Association Saikorian- TEAM " (TEAM is T ogether Forever and E ver Loyal to our A lma M ater ) at Visakhapatnam. The same may be posted to;

                        The SRC  has posted hard copies of their appeal to all other chapters for circulation among saikorians who do not have an E-mail address registered with http://www.saikors.com . And waiting for responses from individuals or collective groups ( batches).

                        The SRC is proud to announce that the response from our saikorians has been satisfactory. The following are the contributions promised as on 08/09/2003.

  • G.Satyam (521) has promised to raise Rs.2,00,000/- from his own sources independent of our association.

  • J.V.V.S.Murthy (1079) Rs. 50,000/- for providing new study tables for Kakatiya House.

  • T.Madhusudana Rao (1033) promised to provide new ceiling fans at Chalukya House or pay the equivalent amount.

  • Vijay Bhaskar(1646). promised something very substantial after their 1979-86 batch reunion to be held this year.

  • Kiran Padigala (2153) -250 dollars.

  • Promod Mallipaddi (2212) promised to contribute whatever little he can.

  • Yella Prakash (1601) promised to help. He said he will inform very soon how he is going to help.

  • M.V.Prasad (1) has promised to help in improving our School Farm.

  • Y.V.Prasad (523) had come forward to contribute his time and energy to get the various works executed at school. (as he stays very close to the school)

We are sincerely hoping that more and more saikorians would come forward and help in Reconstructing our Alma Mater. We hope to hear from Saikoriana, our Chapter in the U.S, without whose active participation we will not be able to do justice to this noble cause.

SAIKORS MAIL

Dear Friends,

 I am very happy to announce that our fellow Saikorian Mr. K. Vijaya Bhasker (999) has won a Nandi Award for directing the Best Picture "Manmadhudu". He is now in Vizag  directing a new film. Some 10 of us saikorians had a get together with him here last night (9-9-2003) to congratulate him. And I was personally moved by the way he refers to our school according to him, which is responsible for his success. I wish him all success in future.
